Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry Celebrates Mother-and-Son Team: Flavia and Luke Pastore!
Flavia Pastore and her son Luke–and supported by their neighbors here in town–organized a very generous food and monetary donation drive for our clients.
And did we mention this was their Third-Annual Community Food Drive?
The food pantry’s receipt of community members’ generous food donations–to the tune of more than 50 bags of groceries–means our clients and their families will have access to healthy foods. And the food pantry can purchase from the Greater Boston Food Bank four times the monetary donation of $250, which means $1,000-worth of nutritious foods for our clients.
On behalf of our clients, our board, and our volunteers, the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry is profoundly grateful to Flavia and Luke Pastore and their neighbors for their passionate commitment to our community.
If you’re interested in organizing a community food drive, we have a toolkit—kindly developed by Flavia—to get you started. Send an e-mail to Aine.Cryts@gmail.com to schedule your community food drive today.
